What is National CBD Day?
Every year on August 8th, a growing community of wellness enthusiasts, medical professionals, and curious individuals come together to celebrate National CBD Day. This day serves as a reminder of the increasing popularity and potential benefits of Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-intoxicating compound derived from the cannabis plant. From its humble beginnings as a relatively unknown supplement, CBD has now become a household name, with a wide range of applications and a growing body of research supporting its positive effects.
The Rise of CBD:
Cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD, is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce the "high" associated with marijuana consumption. Instead, it interacts with the endocannabinoid system in the human body, which plays a crucial role in maintaining balance and promoting overall well-being.
In recent years, CBD has gained widespread attention for its potential therapeutic properties. From reducing anxiety and alleviating pain to improving sleep quality and supporting mental health, CBD's versatility has captured the interest of both consumers and researchers alike.
Benefits and Potential Uses
1. Pain Management: CBD's potential as a natural pain reliever has piqued the interest of individuals seeking alternatives to traditional pharmaceuticals. Many people report experiencing relief from chronic pain, inflammation, and discomfort through the use of CBD products.
2. Anxiety and Stress Reduction: With the hustle and bustle of modern life, anxiety and stress have become increasingly prevalent. CBD's interaction with neurotransmitter receptors in the brain may contribute to reduced anxiety and enhanced mood, making it a potential aid for those struggling with these issues.
3. Sleep Improvement: Sleep disorders and disturbances are widespread concerns. CBD's calming effects might help improve sleep quality by promoting relaxation and reducing factors that contribute to sleeplessness.
4. Neurological Disorders: While research is still in its early stages, CBD shows promise in potentially aiding individuals with neurological conditions such as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. In fact, the FDA has approved a CBD-based medication for the treatment of certain types of epilepsy.
5. Skincare: CBD's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties have found their way into the skincare industry. It's believed to be effective in managing skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

The 3 C's
Sustainability takes on great meaning for us as a company. Our farms pride themselves on their small carbon footprint and unconventional farming practices that leverage every natural element to ensure plant health. We operate off solar power, brew our own compost teas, we limit our water usage during naturally dry months, build reservoirs and water storage to efficiently manage and gather water, we cultivate with micro-green cover crops to help with water retention in efforts to maximize every drop of this natural resource. Sustainability starts on the farm, but it doesn’t stop there. We source our packaging responsibly and only use FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council) or plantable paper (when possible). That’s right – plantable! Our seeded paper will sprout non-GMO, organic, small red cherry tomatoes. The seeds are perfectly woven into the paper fibers which help in the germination phase! We like to think of it as the better way to recycle.
We’re committed to our communities and provide funding and support where we can. We see opportunity to make a large impact in many areas, which is why we have taken a very diverse approach to our give-back initiatives.
